Afghan Feast to raise funds for Refugee Sponsorship
The Comox Valley Refugee Sponsorship Society reports that the next Afghan refugee family has been approved by Ottawa and the files are in Pakistan for final approval and processing.
The Society needs to raise $15,000 before the family arrives, and will be holding a fundraising “Afghan Feast” at Comox Valley Presbyterian Church (Aspen Rd) on Friday, November 15 to raise funds for refugee sponsorship.
