Paul Colthorpe

With his BMus (UVic ’84) and MEd (UVic ’91) degrees, Paul began teaching here in the beautiful Comox Valley in 1991, after 4 years in Quesnel. His 34 years of music experience has seen him instruct thousands of students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, and countless more adults in various community groups. A number of his students have made their way into professional careers in music and he is honoured to have worked with many classical musicians who now travel internationally as in-demand soloists.

In addition to his role as Director of Music Ministries at Comox United, Paul also holds the positions of music teacher at Ecole Puntledge Park Elementary, and Artistic Director of the North Island Choral Society, a post he has held since 1995.
